BARE's glassblowing journey

I made my first wearable mushroom at a friend's shop in 2004 when I was living in Maui.  I loved working with the glass and bought a used major minor torch.
In 2007, I invested in my GTT Phantom and Paragon kiln and began my professional glass career.  I made mostly functional work sold through local headshops.
2013 brought the first leaf in my #cannabisleafappreciationseries.  Cannabis is the healing of the world and I feel honored to create art that promotes that.  The continued support I've received for this series has enabled to build my home studio with two benches for my wife and daughter to lamp work, a dream come true.
I began my #bareseaturtleproject in 2015, one of my family's personal favorites, using the funds to adopt sea turtles via Hawaiian WildlifeFund
In 2016, I wrote an educational article on vacuum encased color for Glass Line Magazine.
In 2017, I competed in the Sonoran Glass School Flame-off for the fifth year in a row.  The event is must-see for anyone coming to Tucson for the Gem Show and raises money for the school.
It is my intention to raise the planetary vibration through my acts.  I chant mantras and meditate during the creative process, charging the glass with intentional healing energy.  The finished piece becomes a tangible manifestation of my love and gratitude, to be treasured for a lifetime.  I give the humblest thanks and praises for everyone supporting my artistic vision through the years and helping to spread the love.
Bless up folks, we are one heart, one love,
BARE
